Through a note from the Professional Association of Algerian Banking and Financial Entities, commercial banks in that country are informed of the suspension of direct debit procedures for payments for international trade operations between Spain and Algeria.
Although the body in question is not part of the Algerian administration, but a “professional association”, the implementation of this instruction, behind which the Algerian government is undoubtedly located, will mean the effective blocking of commercial operations between the two countries.
