The Algerian Ministry of Trade and Export Promotion has announced on Wednesday 9, through the FB page, the need for new documents to be added to the import files, which must be deposited in customs inspections, from next 13.

In the absence of an official regulatory text, what has been known so far is that these would be the following documents:

• Copy of the certificate of conformity with the conditions and modalities of carrying on the import activity,
• Copy of the direct debit invoice,
• Copy of the packing-list.

These are new measures to increase bureaucracy, justified in the need to “regulate imports and clean up the activity of foreign trade of illegal practices”, the same statement indicates that these are provisions aimed at protecting the consumer, suppressing fraud and ensuring the conformity of imported products.

New provisions to be applied without regulatory support and within an effective period of 48 hours.
