Unable to articulate other measures, the Algerian executive, which declares to have printed 1,155 billion DA in the first quarter of thepre-year, will continue to print currency, without specifying the amount, to cover the payments of the deficit budget, in the face of the decline in bank liquidity.

The forecasts for the current year, published by the central bank, were 2.1 trillion, to which we must add those created in 2020.

It is estimated that, in 2020 alone, the manufacture of currency will reach 3.2 trillion DA (24 billion USD), equivalent to 15% of GDP, which means that in just one year the same amount of currency will have been created as in the first three of application of the measure, from 2017 to 2020.
